We do not recommend you plan on only watching the second parade if rain is in the forecast. You’ll also be dealing with peak crowds at rides and characters.
The downside to this approach is that if you really enjoy any of the entertainment you might have trouble fitting in a second showing (or, in the case of the parade, not have that option at all since you skipped the first showing).
